I SOMETIMES WONDER IF ITS JUST ME THAT GETS FRUSTRATED WITH THE CONSTANT NONSENSE ROTATING ON THESE RADIO STATIONS, CLUBS, ETC. ITS OKAY TO PARTY I GUESS, BUT IT HAS GOTTON TO WHERE THERE IS NO MORE ROOM FOR TALENT IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY ANYMORE. THE SONGS REQUIRE NO.. I MEAN NO! EFFORT, JUST A CATCHY SAYING AND A HOT BEAT AND THERE IT IS....IT'S PLATINUM. WHEN REAL ARTIST ARE TOLD THEY ARE OVER-SINGING AND ARE DUMBED DOWN TO INDUSTRY STANDARDS. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT HAS ALWAYS IRRITATED ME. FOR EXAMPLE, IMAGINE IF WHITNEY HOUSTON, AL GREEN, ARETHA FRANKLIN AND LUTHER VANDROSS WERE BORN TODAY.... WHAT WOULD THEY SING? HOWEVER, ON THE FLIP SIDE IMAGINE IF JOHN LEGEND, JENNIFER JUDSON, JASMINE SULLIIVAN AND FANTASIA WERE BORN BACK IN THE DAY. THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN WAYYYY MORE SUCCESSFUL. AND LOOK AT HOW THEY ARE STRUGGLING TO STAY ON TOP, IF THAT. THEIR RECORD SALES DONT COMPARE TO BEYONCE AND CIARA @ ALL.

P.S FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS I HAVE ABSOLUTELY HATED THE HOMECOMING CONCERT WITH ALL MY HEART... WELL THE MY FIRST 2 YEARS, I DIDNT GO THIS YEAR CUZ I KNEW IT WOULD BE THE SAME THING. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A CONCERT THAT CATERED TO A BROADER AUDIENCE AND NOT JUST THE T.I FANS, GUCCI, LIL WAYNE AND WHOEVER ELSE... THERE IS TALENT THAT COST JUST AS MUCH OR ONLY A FRACTION OF WHAT THEY COST LIKE JASMINE SULLIVAN, JOHN LEGEND, DRAKE, LUDACRIS, ANDRE 3000, ETC. I KNOW THE WORRY, IS APPEALING TO THE YOUNGER CROWD BUT I PROMISE YOU THERE IS JUST AS MANY STUDENTS THAT DONT CARE FOR THE SAME OL HIP ARTIST AS THOSE THAT DO LIKE THEM.. OR.. EVEN HAVE 1 OR 2 BUT PLEASEEEEE!! ADD SOME DIVERSITY.

THE ROTATIONS ON THE RADIO STATIONS DIRECTLY CORRELATE WITH WHAT IS CONSIDERED "POPULAR OR IN"

CHANGING SEASONS

Life is a forever changing season.

Mother bird feeds us, protects us, nest's us... 

Then pushes us out the tree... The fall can be painful, 

even the thought of not being there up in the nest. 

However, once we realize there's nothing we can do about it, 

our natural instincts come in. 

We learn to fly... and QUICKLY before the ground comes...

As we begin to fly our mindset changes.

We analyze how far we've come. 

We think about the pain we felt falling from our mothers nest,

Confused at how she could do that if she really loved us. 

Then we realize had she not, we would have never known we could fly. 

Everyone has a purpose in someone's life. When God switches the season if you are meant to be there, you will be there. If not, a new missions begins. Tyler perry said it best. If you look at the trees. We are the stem. There's about 4-5 roots that keep the tree grounded. Thats the foundation (God/Family). There's hundreds of sticks that stay around for the most part but even some of them break. (Friends) However, it is a given that leaves come and go every season. Once they've fulfilled their purpose.. they die off and an entirely new set grows in next season....

WHY ARE PEOPLE SO SELFISH???

Despite what some might think... I am more than a photographer, I am more than An Ol' Skool Dj, aspiring model or superficial Hollywood wannabe. I am actually a thinker.... I know I am a little late on the FB note game. but I have decided to start writing. I am always thinking, observing and usually either only vent to immediate friends or just join discussions when the opportunity presents itself. However, Ive heard the saying.. If I have at least touched one person, I have done my job. With that being said if someone might be going through this topic right now... Hopefully this helps some/..

I saw a friends FB status that said.. "WHY ARE PEOPLE SO SELFISH!" Im not sure why, but I felt obligated to respond. I think a lot of those that surround us everyday, think the same things, and ask the same questions as us. We just don't communicate. My response to this question and anyone else that might have been wondering the same thing is as follows:

"You will learn in life.. that you can never please everyone or even understand everyone for that matter. There will always be people around you with motives beyond the perceptions they exude. The saying goes, "keep your friends close and your enemies closer." in other words. Those who are "selfish" have always only look out for one person... themselves. If they have been around you... most likely it isnt because they were your friend to begin with.... but rather them keeping "their" enemy close.... so they could study, observe and figure out your secret to success... Even tho they have gained from your presence. Once the tables turn and you need a favor.... The selfishness that has always been in their heart..... simply presents itself and becomes more transparent...." Brandon McCaskill 2009
